the place was full of people checking the arts, listening to music and having fun!
It is a great option for next week. The farmer’s market in downtown salt lake city will be open on Saturdays for 20 weeks.

You need to follow-up

June 12th, 2008

by Shahar

A lot of businesses have no follow-up system in place or they have a very weak follow-up strategy.
This is sad!
Did you know that you could increase your revenue in 50% just by doing the proper follow-up with phone calls you receive?
You already heard that is a lot cheaper to sell again to people that have already bought from you, and that is wiser to keep your customers coming back and buying more instead of looking out for new people all the time.
So why businesses don’t implement a good follow-up strategy?
Sometimes because they think if they get in touch once should be enough.
Well, it usually takes 8 touches before a person makes a decision to buy. Especially today with all the options and competition around.
It doens’t work to give the client 8 times the same flyer.
You need to reach this client in different ways.
For example: once as a postcard, then an e-mail, then a blog post etc.
Another reason for not doing the right kind of follow-up is because it sounds like a lot of work.
It doens’t have to be. Today you have automate e-mail messages, phone calls and even automated postcards.
One more reason is because people don’t know how to do a proper follow-up.
The best follow-up is a multi-step, multi-media follow-up.
You get in touch with your clients using a sequence of messages that will be delivered in different formats.
Today with the internet this is a piece of cake because there are so many tools you can use.
A couple of months ago we gave a teleseminar going deep into this topic.
We have made available for a limited time the download of the transcript going deep into this topic.
You can get your here: Follow-up E-Transcript

Bad Economy, how to bring more business?

June 9th, 2008

Looks like things are not looking good in the economy.
For small businesses in Utah, the reality is that it is going to get a lot more expensive to go after sales.
Gas prices, meals are some of the things that will impact every time you go out to network.
But as a business owner you know you cannot stop to prospect and go after more sales.
Try to balance your activities outside the office with activities online that will also generate leads and sales.
One tip is for you to use social media. Blogs and social networks. The other very smart thing you could do, is join Networking In Utah as a member, network, generate more leads and sales
